About Tildo
Tildo is a free daily quiz about putting things in order. Each day brings six cards (countries, inventions, animals, buildings, people) and one question: which came first, which is biggest, which is furthest away? It's available in seven languages.
How to play
- Put the 6 cards in the right order. The labels at the top and bottom tell you which way.
- Tap a card, then tap another to swap them. You can also drag a card up or down to move it, and the others slide over. Press Check when you are ready.
- Green ✓ cards are in the right place and stay there. Grey cards are in the wrong place.
- You have 4 tries. There is a new quiz every day, the same for everyone.
How the quizzes are made
Behind every card there is a real number (a year, a height, a population, a distance) with a link to its source. When you finish, each card shows its value, a short fact and that link, so you can check it and read more.
A good quiz hides a surprise or two: in the very first one, teaching at Oxford began before the Aztecs founded Tenochtitlan. Answers are published once their day is over everywhere in the world, so nobody's game is spoiled.
Made for everyone
Big cards, no timers and no sign-up. The typeface, Atkinson Hyperlegible, was designed by the Braille Institute to be easy to read.
Mistakes and ideas
If a value or a fact looks wrong, or you have an idea for a quiz, write to contact@playtildo.com. Every correction is checked against the source.
